Join SCDA, a leader in HPDE since 1995, for a High Performance Driver Education Track Day at Thompson Speedway Motorsports Park in 2025.

This event is open for new and experienced track drivers. Our focus is on safety, education, and quality track time to help you be your best while having fun.

4-5 Sessions on Track
Open to drivers of ALL experience levels
Professional Classroom Sessions
$40 Discount for BMW and Mini drivers
Muffled event with a 103db sound limit
Rental Spec Miatas are available for this event
Early-Bird Special: Save $40 by registering 2-months or $20 1-month prior to the event
Thompson Speedway Motorsports Park full day entry fee is $399 ($569 novice) until 2/12/25
Novice entry fee is $599 and includes In car Instruction, Virtual and In-Person Classroom, Instructor for Lead-Shadow upon request

This 1.7 mile road course has a nice mix of straights, challenging corners and some elevation changes. The pavement is brand new and the run off areas are very forgiving. Located in Thompson, Connecticut, this beautiful motorsports facility is a track that you must plan to drive. Other features at Thompson Speedway Motorsports Park include:

A110’ span bridge that will accommodate hauler traffic in and out of the paddock area
Thirty stall garage building
New classrooms, offices, restrooms, timing and scoring tower, concessions stands

Sound Restrictions: Please note that cars will need to be MUFFLED to 103dB at all Thompson Speedway Motorsports Park track events unless otherwise expressed.

Passing Zones:

RUN GROUPS AVAILABLE:

NOVICE: The Green Group. (Newer track drivers with no experience to limited experience, typically novice drivers spend about 5 events in the novice group. Instructors are required and will be provided for In car instruction. If desired or uncomfortable with in-car instruction depending on COVID-19, lead shadow w/ radio communication is available )
INTERMEDIATE 1: The Blue Run Group. (Must have prior experience driving solo without an instructor, at least 5 events driving solo)
INTERMEDIATE 2: The White Run Group. (Must have considerable road course experience and at least 20 track events)
ADVANCED: The Red Run Group. (Highest level- years of track experience)- PASSING anywhere with a REQUIRED point-by.

SCDA Thompson Speedway event entry fees are $439 retail for a single day

*Pay only $399 if you register before Feb. 12th

SCDA Thompson Speedway NOVICE driver entry fees are $599 retail for a single day

*Pay only $559 if you register before March 12th
