The MRA Race School for 2025 is:

Friday, April 4th 7:00 PM – Online evening classroom session Link will be Emailed to all registered participants
Saturday, April 12th – On-Track Session (High Plains Raceway)

School includes a mandatory classroom session which will be held online a week before the On-Track session. The meeting will be recorded so that late entrants can still view it before the On-Track session on April 12th
Note that the dates are subject to change due to weather / track conditions. If it needs to be postponed, the MRA will make every effort to contact you, but you should check back on the MotorsportReg event before before leaving home.

To take part in the MRA Race Schools, you must have full protective leather gear. This includes a good fitting full-face helmet, leather jacket & zip together pants, (or a one piece suit) and gloves and boots that are in good condition. A back protector is also recommended. Roadracing is a serious sport and you should always make safety your first concern.

Don't have all the gear? - No problem, our partner, Track Addicts Sportbike Rentals have you covered. Track Addicts can rent you a suit, boots, gloves, and even a fully prepped bike for the school! (You must supply your own helmet). To book gear or bike rentals, contact Track Addicts directly.

For the race school, your current bike should be in good working order. Road racing puts MUCH more stress on your motorcycle compared to canyon carving – and you should make sure your bike is good shape with good tires, tight steering head bearings, etc. For the school, you are not required to safety wire any parts, but are required to tape up your lights and mirrors.

Drain all glycol-based anti-freeze/coolant, flush the cooling system with water, and fill with distilled water (adding Red Line “Water Wetter” or Royal Purple “Purple Ice” to the distilled water is optional)
Functional steering damper (required to race, recommended for the school)

Tires in good to new condition
Tire air pressure gauge

Rider:

Full-face helmet
Leathers (1-piece, or 2-piece that zips all the way around)

During race school, you will receive instruction and guidance on the necessary steps required to make your motorcycle race ready..
