San Francisco Region Sonoma Sprintsfeaturing Spec Miata Festival and Double Rational Sonoma Raceway July 5-7, 2013 Rational = < National-length sessions and races < National and Regional classes and points < Trophies for both Regional and National winners < Points for Sunoco Regional Series, National series or Both Enter by midnight Friday, June 28 to avoid the $30 late fee and to retain your reserved number.
Enter now, pay later! In 2013, SFR will charge your credit card AFTER the race weekend. Yes, we are taking advantage of the improved Deferred Payment Option offered by MotorsportReg. When you register, you enter your credit card information; after the race weekend, we actually process the card.
To withdraw without penalty, notify the Region Office by Tuesday, July 2 at 5 p.m. $25 withdraw fee afterwards. Online entry closes July 2 at 5 pm; after that you will need to enter at the track and pay the $50 post entry fee. Paddock access: On July 4th, Competitors can stage in Lot 2 above the paddock and await release to the paddock which will occur sometime Thursday evening after the drag races and SCCA paddock setup. Sonoma will conduct a test day on Monday, July 1 for a separate fee. Contact Sonoma in advance to sign up and get lowest rate: rhuffaker@racesonoma.com All trailers, cars, equipment, etc. must be removed from the paddock at the end of the test day. Your group, class, and car number will be listed on the Entry List on MotorsportReg. The list is always current (find it by going to the Announcement page on http://sfrscca.motorsportreg.com/ and clicking on “Current Registration List” in the upper right.
Car numbers will not be official until Monday afternoon the week of the event.
Spec Miata (National class) must use Hoosier SM6 or H20 tires. Spec Miata T (Regional SMT) must use either Toyo Proxes RA-1 tires (205x50x15), Toyo RR tires (205/50-15) OR Hoosier SM6 tires. Either RA-1 or Hoosier H20 may be used as rain tires. If you run Hoosiers, you may opt to earn both National and Regional points by picking "Both" in the dropdown when registering. NOTE THE CHANGE : TOYO RR NOW PERMITTED FOR REGIONAL SMT AS OF THIS EVENT!
Sealed Spec Miata (Regional SSM) must use Toyo Proxes RA-1 tires – 205x50x15.
Food Drive for Redwood Empire Food Bank
In partnership with the Speedway Children’s Charities, San Francisco Region will be conducting a food drive at the Double Rational weekend to support the Redwood Empire Food Bank. The Speedway Children’ Charities mission is: “To care for children in educational, financial, social and medical need in order to help them lead productive lives.”
In supporting the work of the Speedway Children’s Charities with the Redwood Empire Food Bank SFR can say thank you to a community which has supported racing for many years.
Food barrels will be located at Race Administration and at Social. Race Administration will also have donation envelopes available for tax deductible financial gifts.
Event requirements
To enter any SFR road racing event, you must have a valid competition license.
In addition to SCCA licenses, the organizations whose licenses are currently approved by SCCA for competition in Regional events are as follows: BMW CCA Club Racing Full Competition; FIA Issued by any sanctioning body; Historic Sportscar Racing (HSR) HSR License; ICSCC; IMSA; NASA Full Competition; Porsche Club of America Full Competition; SCCA Pro Racing; SVRA; VARA; VMC.
All vehicles must meet the safety requirements detailed in the 2013 SCCA General Competition Regulations. Transponder numbers are required for ALL CARS. If you do not have a transponder listed in your vehicle profile, you MUST rent one.

- If you do not already have one, create an account on MotorsportReg.com after reading these steps.
- Once logged in, click "My Account" in the top right
- Review your vehicle(s), making sure to enter your permanent/preferred numbers and your transponder number
- Enter your medical information for the Ambulance/Life Support crew.
- Now come back to this page and enter the event and pay online.
