About this event
Join us for our first ever Women’s Rallycross Event! We have heard your requests and are so excited about creating this novice-friendly experience for women.
Our goal is to create a supportive space where you can learn basic car control and rallycross skills, get comfortable in your car and learn the ins-and-outs of a race. We want you to leave feeling confident and excited to compete in your first race. For experienced competitors, this will be a great opportunity to get instruction and tons of practice while also sharing what you know with newcomers.
What to Expect
Pre-Race Content & Prep
We know that showing up to your first race can be intimidating so in the weeks leading up to the event, we’ll be sharing helpful guidance and advice to help you be ready.
Tech Inspection
First things first, you will need to pass tech inspection! This is a simple process where we make sure that your car and helmet are safe to race. You can read all about the tech inspection process here: https://www.nwrallyassociation.com/the-dirt-blog/what-to-expect-at-tech-inspection
Learning
The day will kick off with instruction from NWRA co-founders, Kito and Katie, and other experienced women. Content will include getting set up in your car, reading rallycross cones, car control techniques and navigating different types of course elements.
In-Car Practice
You will put the tips you learned in the morning into practice on short elements that mimic a race track. This will help you get in seat time and repetition to refine your racing skills, building your confidence and speed.
Race
We will take a lunch break then it’s race time! You will put all of the day’s lessons to the test in a rallycross race against the other participants. This is a race against the clock, not wheel-to-wheel, so you can take it at your own pace.
The Venue
Hosted in the south lot of the Enumclaw Expo Center, you will practice and race on smooth, gravel roads. You won’t find jumps on this course :)

Event requirements
Thank you for signing up for the first ever Women's Rallycross Event! Please take a moment to review the rallycross rules which include the vehicle classifications, competition and conduct requirements.
Definition
A rallycross is a motorsports event where vehicles race on a course delineated by cones on generally unpaved, mostly flat surfaces. Elapsed time is tracked by the organizer with time-based penalties assessed for actions such as missed cones and driving off-course. Scoring is the accumulation of timed runs plus penalties where the lowest time wins. One car is released at a time with course workers monitoring cones and penalties.
Rallycross events are structured as a run-work format where competitors race during their class session and work the course when another class races.
Conduct of Competitors
Each competitor must:
- Practice good sportsmanship at all times.
- Register for and compete in the appropriate class for their vehicle. It is the driver’s responsibility to know the correct class based on the rules and vehicle classifications set forth in the Rallycross Rules.
- Be responsible for their own safety and the safety of others.
- Know, understand and follow all rules as stated herein, in competitor communications and required driver meetings.
- Treat all officials, volunteers, spectators, the public and other competitors with respect and courtesy.
- Obey all laws and local ordinances, most importantly as they pertain to traffic laws.
- Not dispose of trash anywhere on site except for designated garbage receptacles.
- Follow the prescribed course. It is the competitor’s responsibility to know the course in order to keep other competitors, course workers and spectators safe. Competitors will be given the opportunity to walk and drive the course prior to competition.
- Fully perform their work assignment as instructed.
Failure to comply with the conduct requirements may result in disqualification and/or suspension.

Class letters may be of any size as long as they can be seen from a reasonable distance away. All number/class decals must be in a contrasting color to the vehicle body.
