Winter Driving School Gift Certificate
Surprise a friend, spouse or other family member with an unrivalled opportunity to improve their winter driving skills by attending the Motorsport Club of Ottawa's Winter Driving School!
This school is held every year during January and February, usually on six different Saturdays and Sundays, weather conditions permitting. During the full day school students learn about the various car control actions and vehicle dynamics as they apply in slippery conditions first in the classroom and then on our purpose built winter track. They practise braking, turns, skid control and collision avoidance. Students get sufficient track time to become comfortable with how their vehicles handle on slippery surfaces and with the correct control actions to take to maintain control. And everyone has fun!
An MCO Winter Driving School Gift Certificate has no expiry date and is not refundable until it is used by the recipient to register for a school. See the complete refund policy below.
The Winter Driving School has two prices, one for the general public and a reduced price for MCO members, senior citizens (age 60 and over) and students at a recognized educational institution. Seniors must show proof of age when they sign in at the school. Students must present a valid student card when they sign in for the school.
If you are a member of the Motorsport Club of Ottawa you pay the reduced price regardless of who will be attending the school
If you are not a member of the Motorsport Club of Ottawa, you must pay the full price of the school for a participant who is not a senior or student. You pay the reduced price if the winter driving school participant is a senior or student at a recognized educational institution at the time they attend the winter driving school.
In 2014, the prices for MCO's Winter Driving School are as follows:
For members of the general public: $250.00 + HST - $282.50.
For seniors and students: $225.00 + HST = $254.25.
For MCO members: $225.00 + HST = $254.25 regardless of who the student is.
Purchase of gift certificates for the 2014 season will not be allowed after 11:59 pm on Sunday, February 10, 2014.
Event requirements
Your gift certificate will be e-mailed to you at the e-mail address you provided when you registered to use MotorsportReg.com.
If you would like the gift certificate e-mailed directly to the recipient you will be given an opportunity to request this during the purchase process.
Participants in the Motorsport Club of Ottawa's Winter Driving School must have a valid driver's licence (of any class) and a vehicle that they can use for the school. MCO does not provide vehicles.
