About this event
*This registration page is for Velocity-X on Saturday only. If you are looking to register for the other or both events, look for the "AutoX Main Event" reg page with similar picture.
VCMC and OPDA are thankful for the opportunity to run an Autoslalom event in Merritt BC, at the airport. Both clubs are coming together to host this first-time event in order to help build the community and find suitable venue for long term use. The facility has a large apron and full runway that can be used for the event surface We are running an event on both the Saturday and Sunday of this weekend.
The Event - Velocity X (Saturday)
Format will be similar to a Velocity driver training event, with a few tweaks.
The Morning - Full Course 3 Runs: 3 runs each on the full course
Afternoon - Full Course 3+ Runs & Team Results: The main course will be reformed and drivers will get 3+ more runs to set their new fastest lap. After the morning's practice, breakout sessions, and instructor guidance, some gains would be expected. Each team will be scored based on their improvement from morning runs.
*No sandbagging morning runs. We are highly suspicious judges and we will disqualify anyone grossly under performing from their baseline.
The event is capped at 90 participants.
Minimum Registration --> 60 participants.
- If we get too few entries by Sep. 22, we'll have to cancel the event.
Co-drivers - Due to the restrictions of the event format, co-drivers will not be permitted to run in the same heat. The 2nd driver for a car will have to run in the other heat.
Spectators are welcome.
No drop-in, online registration only (closes 48 hours before the day of the event)
Please note that 2010 helmets are NOT qualified anymore.
Entry Fee
