Welcome to the Stadium Challenge powered by Touring Kart Championship, where speed, skill and determination collide! Prepare for heat-pounding action and fierce competition as the best racers from across the East Coast come together to battle it out for ultimate victory!!! The victors will be crowned as the 2024 King of the Stadium and will receive a free Ka100 competition go kart practice day!!! The podium sitters will celebrate on victory lane with a unique TKC trophy and champagne!
Schedule and Format:
Check-in: 8:00 am
45 minute Practice/5 minute Qualifying: 9:00 am
4 hour race start: 10:00 am
Race finish: 2:00 pm
Podium Celebration: 2:15 pm
Pit Stops: 12 minimum pit stops. Teams must switch drivers at EVERY pit stop. Pit stops will not be timed, but each kart must drive through the pits in a controlled manner, come to a safe and complete stop before the driver exits the kart. Drivers must have their seat belt buckled before the kart moves. ANY violation to these rules will result in a 1 lap penalty.
Kart Swaps: Each team will be allowed to swap their kart once during practice and once during the race. Teams that have mechanical failures will be given a new kart and their time lost will be added back in. Fuel stops will be timed at 5 minutes and will start at 2 hours into the race.
Weights:
We will provide weight ballasts for those under the weight minimum. The weight minimum is 200lbs with all your gear.
Entries:
There are 10 available team entries for this event. If you are not one of the first 10 entries, you will be notified asap and placed onto the waitlist.
Karts:
Go-karts used will be rental CRG Centurion karts with GX270cc motors, wrap around bumpers and Racesafety features
Event requirements
NO LICENSE REQUIRED
Age: Driver must be allowed to drive the adult rental karts at the track. Please contact GRX about their age requirements if you are under 16 years old
Clothing: Closed toe'd shoes and helmets are required and may be rented from the track. Suits and gloves are not mandatory but are encouraged.
Driver Skill: Driver must show acceptable pace and the ability race cleanly and safely during the practice/quali session before moving onto the race sessions. Acceptable pace will be within 2 seconds of the average pace of the field. If the Driver shows they are unable to race safely and cleanly or does not meet the pace requirements they are subject to suspension from the remaining races and potentially all TKC events. Acceptable pace will take into account the variation in kart performance.
No one under the influence of alcohol or impairing drugs, legal or otherwise, will be allowed to drive.
