SnowCones is Edmonton's very own winter Autocross competition held at Rad Torque Raceway, just 15 minutes south of Edmonton. Compete just for fun or go for the win in one of the 3 classes!
What is an Autocross? It's a race against the clock (as opposed to wheel-to-wheel) around a unique course defined by pylons. It is one of the safest and lowest cost motorsports you can get into.
All are welcome to participate at this event, from the complete novice with their daily driver to the seasoned pro with a fully built race car. No racing experience or special equipment, other than a helmet, is required.

- There are only 30 spots available!
- Cancellation Policy: Full refund for cancelations made more than 5 days prior to the event. No refunds for cancellations made within 5 days of the event.
- A time trials course is setup in the large parking lot at Rad Torque Raceway. A course map will be posted on social media accounts & emailed out before the event.
- There are 3 classes: FWD l RWD l AWD
- Tires must be winter rated & street legal (DOT)
- Studded tires are allowed, ONLY if you drive to the event on them!
* FWD & RWD will be combined if there are limited drivers in either class.
- 8:00am Gates open
- 10:30 Drivers meeting
- 10:45 Competition runs begin
- 3:00pm Awards
- Taken before your competition runs at the beginning of first heat
- 2 low speed runs (30 km/h max)
- Must remain a minimum 10 car lengths distance from the car in front of you
- No passing
- Speeding or dangerous driving will get you disqualified
- 3 run groups
- One group drives, One group Marshals,Other rests
- 2 heats of 4 runs (8 runs total)
- Cars will be launched every ~25 seconds
- No passing
- Each standing pylon hit = 2 second penalty
- Wrong direction/missed gate = OFF Course
- Reverse = OFF Course
- Your best run from each heat is combined & used for final standings
- You catch up to a car and it slows you down (No passing allowed)

Event requirements
- A drivers license
- A mechanically sound car
- To register
- To fill out the online self tech form & sign the annual waiver
- A Snell certified M/SA/K or ECE 22.05 helmet that is less than 10 years old
- Passenger / Street legal vehicle that has a width geater than its height
- Suvs, large trucks, vans and other high center of gravity vehicles are prohibited for safety reasons.
- All loose items must be removed from the vehicle.
- Only 1 allowed
- Must be wearing same safety gear as driver
- Must sign the event waiver
- Must be of 16 years of age or older
