SCCA Club Trials (CT) events provide a constructive learning environment that stresses proper driving techniques and allows timing to be used as a teaching tool.
Motorsports are inherently dangerous. These rules are intended to assist the orderly conduct of a motorsports activity and are in no way a guarantee against injury or death to participants, spectators or others. You can reduce risk by driving well, by properly using superior safety gear, by paying attention, and by reporting unsatisfactory issues to the event officials.
DRIVER ELIGIBILITY: Drivers should meet one of the following: • Those who hold a valid state drivers license, or • Those who hold a racing license from a recognized motorsports organization, or • Others who demonstrate evidence of experience relevant to high-performance driving. All drivers aged 15 to 17 must contact event officials before the event and provide a completed SCCA MS-L minor waiver (Form MS-L). A SCCA Time Trials or Competition License is not required. Current SCCA membership (weekend memberships are available) is required. All drivers must attend all mandatory drivers' meetings, classroom sessions and debrief sessions and must drive in a manner consistent with the safety nature of the event.
