SCCA Chicago/Milwaukee Track Day & Club Trial

Blackhawk Farms Raceway

About this event

Come out for a full day of driving at an excellent track in a beautiful setting. This full-day event at Blackhawk Farms Raceway is always a good time. It offers a non-timed regular track day and a timed Club Trial for experienced drivers. And we’re starting an hour later than last year to give everyone more time to get there! We hope this will inspire some of you drivers from south of Chicago and north of Milwaukee (and Indiana, Iowa, etc.) to participate.

This event is put on by the SCCA Chicago and Milwaukee Regions. It is sponsored by Hot Rod Chassis & Cycle.

If you aren’t familiar with Blackhawk Farms, it’s a 1.95-mile, 7-turn private circuit racetrack located in South Beloit, Ill., on 216 scenic acres.

There will be three run groups divided by experience: novice (0-2 track days), intermediate (3-5 track days), and advanced (6+ track days). The timed, non-competitive Club Trial is for intermediate and advanced drivers only. Each run group is scheduled to have six 20-minute sessions; the schedule may be adjusted in response to changing conditions.

The fee for SCCA members is $260. For non-members, it’s $275. Not a member? Join at SCCA.com.

Lunch is included for all drivers and volunteers. Transponder rental for the Club Trial is $30.

Check-in on event day begins at 7:30 a.m. There is a mandatory drivers’ meeting at 9 a.m., and on-track activities start at 9:45 a.m.

Run group assignments are made by SCCA staff after you register. Please provide information about any autocross and non-SCCA track driving experience so you can be assigned to the correct run group. Novices will have an experienced driver riding with them during at least one of their sessions.

Be sure to ask about our ride-along opportunities. For $25, guests can ride with an instructor in one of the later sessions. Ride-alongs are with instructors only and are provided as time and availability permit.
