Loring MegaAutocross 2022

Loring Commerce Centre

About this event

Come join the Cumberland Motor Club at one of the largest autocross venues in the northeast!

The former Loring AFB offers a location unique to CMC with longer courses and more excitement!  CMC has held events at Loring for over 10 years, and this event is not to be missed.

Individual autocross events are held Saturday and Sunday (be sure to register for both!).  Loring is a long trek for most club members, and as a bonus for making the journey, a free "Test & Tune" is offered on Friday for anyone registering for Saturday and/or Sunday.  This is essentially a whole day of fun runs, and allows for practice on the runway surface and adjustment to the wider, more open elements typical in the courses here.

Lodging is available at local businesses, and camping on site is also available.

Schedule TBD

As this venue is large, non-motorized transit (bicycles, scooters, skateboards, etc.) may be used to aid the course walk.  Individuals requiring walking aids may use devices such as powered mobility scooters (or equivalent) as needed.

Event requirements

Driving is open to all club members.  Karts will be allowed.   Annual and weekend memberships are available for purchase.

All drivers, passengers, and spectators must sign the club liability waiver on-site.  Insurance regulations require all drivers and passengers to be licensed drivers (certain exceptions exist for junior karts).

A Snell rated (or equivalent) helmet is required for all drivers and passengers.   A limited number of club loaner helmets are available for use.  The current list of valid helmet certifications is maintained by the SCCA:  Helmet Certifications

All cars need to pass technical inspection

CMC uses SCCA solo rules for car classes.  If you are unsure on where to class your car, please inquire with the club officers.  The CMC Facebook page is a good resource for discussing car class questions, or use the Contact link below.
