About this event
The annual trek to the famous Pozo Saloon for an amazing brunch is one of the most popular driving and eating events put on by the California Central Coast Region of the Porsche Club of America. Arrival at the Pozo Saloon is preceded by a beautiful, mostly back road tour through our gorgeous county, and yes, the hills will be green this time of year! This event will be held rain or shine!
This brunch is not to be missed! Done properly, this will likely be your only meal of the day! Here's the menu: cinnamon rolls, ham, tri-tip steak, sausage, eggs, home fried potatoes, biscuits and gravy, orange juice, coffee, tea and mimosas. All this for only $25 per person! Wow!
In addition, you'll want to be there for the second annual presentation of the "Dummkoff Award". This tongue-and-cheek award is bestowed upon the member for a humorously bonehead action during the past year. There are many favorites, so it will be a tough competition.
The driving tour can take around an hour and a half on average. We stress that this is a relaxed drive to enjoy the scenery and encourage everyone to follow all posted speed limits and traffic laws. Our Pozo Saloon hosts will begin serving brunch about 11:00 am. If you are unable to make the driving tour, you are welcome to drive directly to the Pozo Saloon.
The driving tour will begin at the Laguna Middle School parking lot on Los Osos Valley Road in San Luis Obispo, CA. Plan to arrive at 9:00 am to alllow time to sign the insurance waver form, get the driving route instructions, kick some tires and greet the other members. We will leave the Laguna Middle School lot at about 9:30 am.
