About this event
Sonoma Raceway
July 12-14, 2024
Cup Racing: Red and Orange group Cup Racing. We will have two separate run groups.
Join the Porsche Owners Club for an exciting weekend of Cup Racing at the Sonoma Raceway. We're joining TrackMasters Racing, a High Performance Instructional Driving organization who is sharing two run groups with us this weekend. POC has rented the track on Friday and, at a minimum, you will have 5 sessions to practice for the weekend.
The sound limit for the event is 103db. . In the past, the track has used a 3-strike system. After you break sound, you get two more tries, then you will not be allowed back on the track. We will not know how the track will enforce sound at the Friday practice until we get to the track. The POC plans to relay all sound violations to drivers as soon as possible throughout the weekend. Please work on your exhaust solutions now, not at the track.
Schedule: To be provided
We will have split starts and split qualifying to be determined by class entry counts.
We are not offering the Early Bird Special discount for this event as our pricing reflects the minimum the Club needs to hopefully cover costs. Last second registration at the track will be $100 higher than online pricing-no exceptions so register now.
Saturday Morning Check-In: Check-in will be available Friday morning and Saturday morning in one of the garages (likely Garage 21).
Garages: There are a limited number of garages available to rent for the weekend. They are 2 car (nose-to-tail) garages and will be held on a first come, first served basis in registration. Garages will become available Thursday evening after 7:00 PM.
Vehicle tech inspection should be performed at an official POC Tech Inspection Station before you get to the track to avoid check-in delays and last minute repairs. Tech inspection at the track will be provided by PRO Motorsports and Vali Motorsports. The cost is $20, payable to POC.
Tire service: Tire service will be provided by Vali Motorsports. AIM tire is also located at Sonoma Raceway (707-938-9193).
Fuel: Leaded and unleaded race fuel will be available at the track. Purchases can only be made by using a credit card.
Camping: Overnight (dry camping) is available in the paddock area on Thursday, Friday and Saturday nights. There is no additional cost for overnight camping.
