About this event
On the weekend of August 10 and 11, not only will there be the excellent racing on the newly revamped road course of Pocono Raceway, but there will also be Solo events held on the parking lot behind the grandstands both days. The parking lot has been repaved this year and should be a good surface. Northeast PA Region (NEPA) will host the Saturday Solo and Philly Region will host the Sunday event. There will be access to the racing facility through the tunnel under the track. Show your wristband and you will be able to go watch Philly Region members such as the Aquilantes and Dave Sanders (among others) in Sunday’s Jersey Touring Car Challenge and the last race of the day (Group 6), or any of the other action over the weekend. For those of you who want to run both events, there are many motels in the area, but if you are interested in camping, you can do so among the teams and officials in the infield Friday and Saturday nights.
There will be lunchtime laps behind the pace car driven by George Bloeser for the benefit of Laps to Conquer MS, the charity being supported by this event.
This event will be run in full-day format with three heats, however, the format is subject to change based on registration numbers. Everyone must register in the morning! The site is open at 6:30 AM. We strongly suggest that you plan on arriving by 8:00 AM.
