Pine Mountain Hillclimb: Worker/Media Registration

This is registration for Volunteers, Workers, Staff and Media for the Pine Mountain HillClimb at the Pine Mountain State Resort Park in Pineville, Kentucky, April 22-24.
The event is being put forth by SCCA’s East Tennessee Region, Blue Ridge Region and Central Carolinas Region with some help from SCCA’s Region Development and Experiential Programs Departments, as well as support from the Pennsylvania HillClimb Association and non-profit organization Backroads of Appalachia, whose mission it is to bring events and tourism to Eastern Kentucky.
Corner workers and staff will be provided with a T-Shirt, Lunch on Saturday and Sunday and Dinner on Saturday as well as a shared hotel room. In addition, there will be some door prizes and givaways at the Saturday Night Dinner!
Event requirements
Worker/Volunteer/Staff Eligibility:
A. All Workers
1. Weekend or Full Membership of the SCCA, weekend membership will be provided if you don't have one.
2. Experience is valued, but if you do not have experience, organizers will pair you up with an experienced worker as a mentor to help make the event an exciting and fun learning and experience-building adventure.
B. Minor Workers (Less than 18-years-old)
In addition to the above, minor drivers:
1. Must contact officials before the event.
2. Must provide a completed SCCA Minor Waiver (Form 1068)
Media Eligibility
Those looking for media credentials should register and officials will reach out for case-by-case approval.

Friday, April 22
8:00 AM – 5:00 PM Course Setup. Laurel Cove Amphitheater. Race Course will be *closed to traffic.
10:00 AM Paddock Opens. Only event staff vehicles in lower paddock before this time.
4:30 PM – 8:30 PM Registration and **Tech Inspection. Downtown Pineville (112 E Kentucky Ave).
5:00 PM - Race Car Show and Street Party.
8:30 PM Road Closed between Upper Paddock and Chained Rock Road
9:00 PM Novice Worker Classroom. TBD (Pine Mountain Resort Lodge?)
9:45 PM – 6:45 AM Quiet Hours in Paddock. Paddock will remain open, but no race engines. No Camping
within Pine Mountain Resort Park (no camping tents, no camp showers, no campfires,
no sleeping outside.) You are not required to leave the paddock overnight.
* Vehicles with trailers will not be allowed beyond the upper paddock. Traffic to the
resort, cabins and Chained Rock will be directed around. Race cars and race traffic will
be allowed on course at safe speed.
** If possible, please unload race cars at lodging or assigned paddock and bring cars to
Tech Inspection off-trailer. Tech Inspection will be a roving tech. Cars will not be
inspected until driver is registered.
Saturday, April 23
7:00 AM – 7:45 AM Road above Upper Paddock Open to two-axel vehicles. Late Registration in Main
Paddock
7:00 AM – 8:30 AM Late Tech in Main Paddock
7:30 AM Worker Meeting Picnic Shelter at Mid-Course/Bridge Parking
7:45 AM Driver Meeting at Laurel Cove Amphitheater off Main Paddock
7:45 AM Road Closed to non-event traffic.
8:15 AM – 9:15 AM ALL Hill Traffic under Grid and Paddock Marshal Control, ONLY.
8:30 AM – 9:15 AM Parade Laps - (Both Lanes up, Right lane down. NOT AT RACE SPEED)
9:15 AM HILL CLEAR
9:30 AM – 5:00 PM Competition Runs
5:30 PM Road open to 2 axel vehicles.
7:00 PM Worker Driver Dinner - Pine Mountain Resort
Sunday, April 24
