About this event
It's time for the 3rd weekend of the Midwest Division Solo Series presented by R&S Racing and Solo Performance Specialties. Ozark Mountain Region SCCA is pleased to present this exciting weekend of autocross at Crowder College Truck Driving School in Neosho, Missouri. Enjoy June in the Ozarks with 375,000 square feet of grippy, tire-friendly, and wide open asphalt. Located just south of Joplin, Missouri, the Crowder College Truck Driving School site is centrally located to the Midwest division, and is an easy four-lane haul from most locations via I-44 and I-49.
What is an Inter-regional Solo?
If you have never been to a divisional-level autocross, this is your chance to compete against some of the best drivers from the Midwest by combining the best times from two days of competition. Want to become better at autocross? Come to this event and compete and observe some of the best drivers in this part of the country and allow some of their skills to rub off on you. Seriously, there's a lot to be learned from observation and paying attention at higher level events like this. This will also be a points-paying regional event for members of the OMRSCCA host region, and loaner helmets will be available. More information here:

2016 MiDiv Solo Series Weekend #3, AKA Events #4 & 5
Crowder College in Neosho, MO
Event Format
This is a sanctioned Sports Car Club of America Solo event held under the 2016 Solo Rules and 2016 R&S/SPS MiDiv Solo Series rules, supplemented by the following regulations. A minimum of three runs each of the two days will be allotted.
Site Information
There are gas stations, WalMart, and fast food on Highway 59 about a mile North of the intersection of MO-D. There is no air available at the site, so prepare accordingly. Our friends at the Crowder College Trucking School sometimes grill lunch on-site at modest cost, as a fund raiser for their scholarship program. If they are able to get the volunteers to grill lunch, please do your best to support them. It's for a worthy cause, it's convenient, and in my experience the burgers have been tasty.
Safety and Conduct
Spectators and competitors not working must view the course from designated spectator points.
A walking pace must be maintained in areas outside course. Speeding, burnouts, tire-warming, and other inappropriate activities at or near the site are potential grounds for event disqualification at the discretion of the series Solo Steward, event chairperson, safety stewards, or their designees. The site is an active flight line, and there will be no tolerance for unsafe, reckless, or unsportsmanlike behavior.
In grid and paddock, please drive slowly and be mindful of people, cars, equipment, and oncoming traffic sharing close quarters. Be aware that youth karts are anticipated entrants, and that no vehicles may be in motion during their runs.
A limited number of loaner helmets will be available. If using one during a run, please return it to the loaner helmet area.
Run/Work
Run/work assignments will be pre-assigned based on the entry list, and in a manner that balances heat sizes and worker coverage. Changes in class or no-shows may demand a change in heat arrangement.
Workers should be ready to report for work before their heat begins. Heat changeovers will be brief. Please listen for announcements made by the Chief or Workers and be on time for your work assignment. Lateness may be taken as a no-show, and result in a disqualification.
Vehicle Identification and Marking
Car number and class must meet the minimum requirements outlined in the Solo Rules. Shoe polish is not acceptable.
Cars must display the applicable series contingency stickers. Decals will be available from Tech and the event sponsors, and will be checked during tech inspection.
Impound and Protests
Results will be posted on the timing and scoring trailer or delivered and posted to a separate paddock area if required during each heat. Immediately report discrepancies to the event chair or his designee so that they can be brought to timing and scoring for review. Please do not bother the timing and scoring trailer during competition.
Cars must remain in their grid spot after competition runs until released by grid personnel. If equipped, cars must have their trunks and hoods open after their last run of the heat.
Protests must be reported immediately to the chief of grid, event chair, or series Solo Steward for review by the series Solo Steward.
