About this event
Did you know there is a performance driving event held every month right here in middle Georgia? The Middle Georgia Sports Car Club of America holds an autocross event at least once a month, and it’s open to any licensed driver. Solo (Autocross) events are driving skill contests that emphasize the driver's ability and the car's handling characteristics. This is accomplished by driving a course that is designated by traffic cones on a low hazard location; we presently use the parking lot of Henderson Stadium in Macon, GA. While speeds are no greater than those normally encountered in legal highway driving, the combination of concentration and car feedback creates an adrenaline pumping experience. There is a class for almost any car from family wagons to the most exotic sports cars and everything in between. We’ve seen exotic $40K plus Corvettes and Lotus’ and safe $400 ’71 Toyota station wagons compete.
