About this event
Drive M4theM's first-ever ROVAL! Our Roval is considered an advanced course and counts towards M4theM HPDE Solo Certification
One of our core values in starting M4theM was to create a learning platform that assured fully trained, truly prepared, excellent HPDE participants that can hit the ground running at our HPDE events.
Since SCDE is a bridge event between Autocross and HPDE, you will learn all the procedures and rules of an HPDE but do so on a racecourse that is one safe step larger and faster than an autocross course. You will encounter longer than AutoX straights and true braking zones where almost all cars will be exceeding maximum interstate speeds once or twice a lap. Unlike our smaller venues, the Little Rock course requires shifting. At an AutoX, you read cones, at an advanced SCDE you follow an actual mini road course layout and run multiple laps at a time, sharing the track with others as you learn excellent on-track and situational awareness habits as well as how to properly and safely execute point-by passing.
Participating in this event alone COULD even qualify you to drive solo in M4theM full course HPDE events with only a check ride or lead-follow session, you will be ready to start ahead of all other true track day novices and be well on your way to solo certification for full racecourses.
Another plus to M4theM SCDE is NO WORKING! Just like at a track day, we supply trained marshals at all positions, you just arrive and drive.
Finally, we (try to) capture your lap times. The only way you can judge your progress towards consistent solid laps and driving skills is through the clock. While SCDE is not a competition format, we do allow participants access to their times to judge skill progression. Lap times can be found on our Webscorer server as found on our website and updated throughout the day. (when internet/cell service is adequate
Our SCDE events are broken up into 2 sessions; Morning from 7 AM to 12 PM and Afternoon from 12 PM to 5 PM.
Each participant will drive in 4 individual 10 minute long continuous lapping sessions. No point to point like AutoX, just keep making laps.
Registration and Tech will be open at 7 AM and again at 12 pm for the afternoon session. The driver's meeting will be at 7:45 and 12:45 respectively.
Either session will provide you with up to 40 minutes of run time. *
The all-day pass avails you of up to 1 hour and 20 minutes of run time. *
The regular entry fees for this track are $130 for a Morning or Evening session and $230 for both sessions. Early Bird Pricing is $120 for a half-day AM or PM session. Early Bird will end Sas, Feb 26 so act now to save $10.
What are you waiting for?
* Track time may be affected by event schedule, mechanical issues on track, or weather. Track time is not guaranteed but we will do all we can to make sure everybody gets the amount they pay for.
Event requirements
Drivers must download and fill out the Tech Sheet and bring it to the event. Drivers should read the "M4theM Rules 2022 1.0" up through chapter 3 "SCDE" found HERE. Tech Sheets can be found HERE (right click and open in new tab to stay in MS.Reg as well)
Drivers must have a valid driver's license.
Drivers must have a helmet in good repair that fits their heads properly. DOT motorcycle approved at minimum. SNELL M or SA helmets are preferred. There are no date limits on SNELL helmets but the helmet must be in good repair. Please contact the event organizer if you do not have such an appropriate helmet.
Riders are allowed with solo certified competitors but must have signed the waiver, be previously in close contact with the driver during the Covid crisis (co-worker/family member etc.), and must be able to be properly restrained in the vehicle and wear a helmet.
Drivers must bring a completed Tech Form to the tech tent. Any convertible of sedan ride height is approved for this venue. Rollbars are encouraged, not required. (Sorry no VW things from the 40s-50s or jeeps with the top off.).
While you are free to drive any tires you want, we urge serious AutoX competitors to not bring their competition tires as a half-day of SCDE is the equivalent of an entire season of AutoX. If you have higher treadwear tires, we strongly recommend them for this discipline.
No loose or torn clothing.
No open-toe or high-heeled shoes.
