Twas the 5th of December and all through the Willcox people were getting ready for the Holiday Dinner!
Take a step back into a more genteel time when you walk through the entrance of the historic Willcox Hotel in downtown Aiken, SC. Fireplaces are burning warm and bright, decorated trees and mantles abound with beautiful ornaments, greenery and colored ribbons. People are sitting in comfortable chairs and plush couches enjoying a steaming beverage or a cocktail. It all feels Merry and Bright!
Again, this will been the setting for the Carolinas Section's Holiday Dinner. The evening will start out with cocktails and camaraderie either poolside if weather permits or in the Hunt Room with a cash bar and Holiday music provided by M'Aiken Magic. The members will then select their seats in either the Library or the Hunt Room for the socially distanced, but still intimate, dinner setting.
A delicious dinner will start off with some appetizers as our members get reacquainted with those at their table. She crab soup will be served, followed by your choice of filet of Salmon or the Certified Angus Beef tenderloin, accompanied with wonderful wines provided by the Section. The final course will be the Willcox Inn's decadent Kentucky bourbon pecan pie.
The evening will wrap up with people retiring to the hotel lobby for more laughter and libation, many going up to their comfortable rooms, and other departing to their own residences in the Aiken area.
The cost for this event is $65 per person. Please bring your most cheerful holiday mask to wear while in the Willcox Inn when not eating or drinking.
We will not be having the gift exchange this year. Instead, we are asking each attendee to bring an unwrapped toy(s) or book(s) for a child under the age of 12. These will be donated to the Marine Toys for Tots in Aiken for those less fortunate than ourselves.

Event requirements
Due to Covid, we may be seated in two rooms to allow sufficient social distancing among the members. Also, please wear you most festive holiday mask while in the Willcox Inn when you are not eating or drinking.
In the event we receive more registrations than social distancing capacity allowed, we will be using a wait-list to replace any cancellations received prior to the event.
