DRIFT NIRVANA
DRIFTERS OF DECEMBER
4 Tracks, 7+ Running Loops, 1 Facility
What is Drifters of December?
Drifters of December is a 2 day drift event like no other. It is hosted at Summit Point Motorsports Park, home to several circuits and pads. We will be running 4 of them. Drift until your heart is content with multiple options running constantly throughout the day. Overnight camping is welcome with the Summit Point Circuit and Shenandoah Circuit Paddocks having electricity. This event, which has been going on for well over a decade, pulls some of the best drifters the United States has to offer. Originally starting as '100 Drifters of December' that name quickly went by the wayside as drifter registrations began exceeding 200.
The Washington Circuit
The Washington Circuit is the most beginner friendly of the four circuits at Summit Point Motorsports Park. We will be running a cageless 'Hotlap" loop on the south side of the circuit. Hotlaps is great for track time as it is a continuous loop of drifters approved by our instructors. Cages are not required. We will also have a beginner friendly 'solo / tandem' loop on the north side (must be tandem spec for tandems). The paddock for Washington Circuit will be open to drifters and has a restroom.
The Jefferson Circuit
MAP ABOVE
The Jefferson Circuit is a circuit with fun winding turns and enormous elevation change. Many drifters enjoy Jefferson 'Short' as it fairly beginner friendly while our more experienced drifters take on 'The Mountain'. There is a possibiliity that a third loop will be open on Jefferson but cannot be guaranteed.
Summit Point Circuit
MAP ABOVE
The Summit Point Circuit is the track that started it all. This 2.0 Mile Historic course was built in 1969 and has hosted many historic and noteworthy races. We will be running the classic 'Turn 4 to 'Turn 8' layout. This layout boasts potential for huge entries and high speed tandems.
Shenandoah Circuit
The Shenandoah Circuit is the most diverse track in the facility for drifters. This course can be run in countless ways. We will be running extended pistol grip reverse, bridge long and short, and there is a possibility D loop will be open as well.
