Presented by Calgary Sports Car Club (CSCC) and BMW Club Southern Alberta (BMWCSA)
· A fun way to learn and/or sharpen your Winter Driving Survival Skills
· Each student will have an in-car instructor
Exercise will include stop box, accident avoidance, skid pad and slalom
· School will discuss difference in tires
Classroom (Mandatory): 7:00 – 9:30 PM Friday Jan 31st CSCC Club House 4215 80 Ave NE
On lake ice school: Sunday Feb 2nd (backup date – Sunday Feb 9th)
Location: McGregor Lake · 7:45 – 8:45 AM Registration ·
Morning: 9:00 AM – 1:00 PM
Lunch· 1:00 PM Pizza
Afternoon – additional school exercises or Learn Autocross Techniques
The on ice session Go/No Go decision, based on ice condition and seven day weather forecast, will be made on Jan 26
The on ice session will be canceled if ice conditions is poor
The on ice session will be postponed or canceled if temps above 5 C or below -25 C
Note: Persons wishing to be volunteers or instructors select the event named CSCC & BMWCSA Winter Driving INSTRUCTOR_VOLUNTEER

Afternoon – practice on ice exercises OR learn Autocross Techniques

Cost: · $25 per person to Register and take Classroom session (NON-REFUNDABLE)
In Addition:
· $100 Students or $100 per person Shared Car
· $150 Adult (WCMA/CSCC or BMWCSA member & family)
· $170 Adult Non-Member
On Ice session cancellation Policy: · Credit Card will only be charged ($100, $150 or $170) if the on-ice session proceeds ·
The Go/NO Go decision, based on ice condition and 7 day weather forecast, will be made on Jan 26
· School will be canceled if ice conditions are poor
· School will be postponed to Feb 9 or canceled if forecast temperature is above 5 C or below -25 C
· Vehicles tires must have 3 Peak Mountain Snow Flake symbol displayed on the sidewall, both non-studded and studded winter tires are acceptable. NO bolt type prepared studded tires are acceptable
· Vehicles must pass Participant Performed Safety Check and Verification (part of Registration)
· Tarps required under parked cars for environmental protection
· Helmets NOT required
· Ice Cleats highly recommended on winter boots
· Pizza Lunch Provided (but bring your own snacks and hot drinks)
· Port-a-potties
· Each student will have an in-car instructor
