About this event
This class covers the basic fundamentals and so much more. All students will receive personal instruction from the opening bell until the last lap of the day. We will cover:
- Course walking strategies
- Ergonomic considerations
- Driving mechanics - the hands, feet, and head
- The psychology of driving and other human factors.
- Begin pushing the limits of you and your car
- Inconsistency from run-to-run or event-to-event
- Slow first runs
- Car does not seem to handle properly
- Your performance has plateaued - improvement has slowed
- Excessive tire wear
- You have difficulty staying on line (i.e. positioning the car)
- Uncertain what strategy to employ for a given course
- Slower than you'd like to be
Event requirements
Please bring your Porsche, your PCA membership card and a valid driver's license. Your car should arrive ready to autocross. Please remove ALL loose items from the interior and trunk(s). Make sure wheels are torqued, battery is secure, tires are well inflated and there are no fluid leaks. We have a limited number of loaner helmets. If you bring your own it must have a visible Snell SA200 rated or later. Upon arrival you will be required to sign an insurance waiver. All students and spectators at the event will be required to sign the waiver and wear a wrist band (provided by the club). If you are under 18 a parent or legal guardian must be present to sign for you.
