About this event
This event is co-hosted by Bridge City Autosports (http://www.bcautosports.club) and Willamette Motor Club (http://www.wmclub.org).
BCA AX#3/WMC AX#2 will be held at Oregon Raceway Park (Grass Valley, OR) on Saturday April 27th and Sunday April 28th, 2024.
Saturday is for points for WMC, Sunday is for points for BCA. Recall that both clubs drop the lowest two events for the year, so if you do not make it, it will not count against you.
-
~7am: Saturday and Sunday mornings will begin early. Tech and check-in start
-
8:10am: Drivers meeting, that is significantly more early than normal. Prepare for that. The reason is, there are no course walks.
-
8:30am: The first group to run will be going on a parade lap - we will go around twice. This is your course walk. Upon completion, drivers will return to their grid spots and prepare to drive, while workers get shuttled to their positions.
-
9:00am: Start running
-
~12:30pm: Lunch. We will keep this as short as humanly possible. The shorter lunch is, the more runs we get. We absolutely need everyones help to keep on schedule. Every 15 minutes lost is a whole run. We will all do our best to keep things flowing, but it is on all of us to be ready to go when needed. As first drivers complete their last run, they should get parked and go straight to lunch.
- We will run the full track tying together sweeping corners with autocross elements along the straights.
- CAMPING, TOILETS, AND SHOWERS ARE AVAILABLE ON-SITE AT NO CHARGE.
- No walk-ups will be accepted.
- Roll bars are highly recommended in open-top cars
- Passengers will be allowed in all closed-top vehicles, or open-top vehicles with roll bar/harnesses. Hardtops do not count as a closed-top as they do not provide structural rigidity. Open-top cars without rollbar/harnesses may only have an approved instructor ride along.
Again, we will do two parade laps before each session, and that will be the course walk. We will make sure that elements are as visible as possible from a distance before arriving at them - LOOK AHEAD. We will make sure that cones are marked clearly, and not placed in spots to trick you when coming around a potentially blind corner. We will do our best to make sure that things flow.
We will have a cap of 70 people. We will only be breaking up into two run groups. Work sessions will be a bit longer. Keep in mind that this is a several mile course, so your actual time in grid will be reduced because you will spend more time on course. Conversely, it will be increased by the number of cars in grid. That should mean that the wait time between finishing and starting the next run will be fairly similar to a normal event.
We will shuttle people out to their work stations, while closer stations may walk out.
May it be your best year ever, and always remember to enjoy the ride!
Please remember to have your vehicle ready for tech inspection the morning of the event, if you do not participate in the annual tech program. We will accept annual tech from most clubs.
There will be a lunch break around 12:30pm, lunch will be served at this event if purchased during registration.
There is a track day on Monday of this event - registration is here. Plan accordingly!!
