Back to the 90s: Time Attack, Touge, and Lapping

Speed-Fanatics Motorsports Circuit

About this event

Join Us for an Exciting Evening at Mission Raceway Park!

The Speed-Fanatics Motorsports Club is thrilled to co-host a special Time Attack, Touge Battles, and Lapping Event with Sports Car Club of BC on October 26, 2024, from 4 PM to 9:30 PM.

This non-championship event features a nostalgic "Back to the 90s" theme, complete with a unique Turn 7-9 configuration.

Event Highlights:

  • Time Attack Format: Our Time Attack sessions will follow a Non-Passing format, welcoming drivers of all experience levels. Participants will be grouped by lap times and vehicle class to ensure competitive runs.
  • Lapping Opportunities: If you're interested in a more relaxed experience, you can sign up for our relaxed lapping group—no CACC time attack license required!
  • Schedule: For the first three hours, we will rotate between relaxed lapping, advanced lapping, and Time Attack groups.

At 8:15 PM, we’ll switch to a reverse track layout for the thrilling Touge Battles.

What Are Touge Battles? In this exciting format, only two cars compete on the track at a time, with no passing allowed. The event consists of a single lap from Turn 7 back to Turn 1, featuring a staggered standing start. If the lead car increases their gap, they win; if the trailing car closes the gap, they take the victory. The winner progresses while the loser is eliminated. With 10 or fewer cars, the competition will become a best-of-three format. After each run, drivers will swap starting positions for the next round.

Entry Information:

  • Cost: $175 for Lapping or Time Attack only; optional Touge Battles for an additional $50.
  • Transponder Rentals: Available for $35/event on a first-come, first-served basis.

Requirements: A 2024 CACC Time Attack or Race license is necessary for Time Attack participants, so please ensure you apply beforehand. Additionally, the CACC electronic waiver must be signed at least five days prior to the event.

If you have any questions about the event or classing, feel free to reach out to us at sfmotorsportsclub@hotmail.com.

We can’t wait to see you at the track for an unforgettable evening of racing fun!
