IMPORTANT NOTICE: Due to lack of entries, the Time Trials element has been eliminated from this event. If there is sufficient interest, we will continue with a Run Group for Time Trials Prep level vehicles as a Track Day or part of the Test & Tune. We will change the Segment Name to reflect this change shortly. If you wish to participate in a Track Day/Test & Tune for Time Trials prep vehicles, please sign up under the Time Trials segment. Cincinnati and Neohio Regions, SCCA are pleased to present the Back Home at Nelson Test Day & Time Trials. We will have Test & Tune sessions for both Open Wheel and Closed Wheel GCR compliant race cars throughout the day. For our avid Time Trial competitors, we are including one run group dedicated to Intermediate and Advanced Time Trial competitors. We know some were disappointed with the cancellation of the TT National at Nelson and we wanted to give you another opportunity to compete on this fast and fun track.

Notice to Participants: In light of the current COVID-19 situation, every attempt will be made to minimize the risks of exposure to the virus. New processes and procedures are being developed and will be put into place for events going forward.
Ultimately, it is your responsibility to assess the risk to you, both on-track and off, and to make the decision on whether or not to participate. If you are feeling unwell or are experiencing symptoms such as fever, cough, or shortness of breath please stay home. If you have been in contact with someone who has been experiencing these symptoms in the last two weeks, please stay home.
While on site please take the health and safety of your fellow participants, volunteers and staff into consideration and practice social distancing, wear a mask, and wash your hands and/or use hand sanitizer frequently.
The Friday only Time Trial event will include one timed practice and three scored Time Attack sessions. Sorry, no Track Sprint on this event. Our goal is to provide four 20 minute sessions on the full track. We will present awards by Car Class. For information about Car Classification and Rules go to www.TimeTrials.SCCA.com.
We’re also providing a Test & Tune for racers who want to prepare for the Divisional Race Weekend. We plan to provide run groups for open wheel and closed wheel race cars. Our goal is to provide maximum track time for every participant.

Event requirements
This SCCA Sanctioned Test Day will run under Track Day Rules. These sessions are intended for SCCA Road Race Competitors in GCR compliant (safety in particular) competition vehicles. All Test Day groups will operate under Advanced Passing Rules, meaning passing is allowed anywhere on the track and should be initiated by a point by from the car being overtaken. There will be a more diverse range of cars participating in the Test Sessions than the regular mix of classes during the race weekend, so everyone is expected to be attentive to their fellow drivers. SCCA membership is required and weekend membership can be purchased during registration for those who do not have full memberships. SCCA membership is required for Time Trial competitors. Non-members can purchase a weekend membership during registration. Participants must hold a valid government issued Drivers License and a SCCA Time Trial License. Applications for Time Trial licenses are available on line at Driver Eligibility or through the registration process. Drivers 17 and under must contact event officials prior to completing registration and get approval from the Event Lead. All drivers must have a helmet and suitable clothing as defined at www.timetrials.scca.com/pages/safety. Transponders are required for this event and can be rented during registration if needed. Car numbers (at least 8 inches high with a 1 1/2 inch stroke in a color that contrasts with the car color) are required. They can be temporary, created from tape or vinyl lettering.
