All drivers will be grouped based on power and weight (P&P System) and whether or not they are Stock/Modified. We are using the honor system and you will fill out a self tech form upon registering. Vehicles must pass a basic safety tech and quick visual to verify their competition subclass. We reserve the right to send a car back across tech if a complaint is filed.
Classification:
- P&P System (Pounds & Ponies)
- Pounds = Gross Vehicle Weight
- Ponies = Horsepower

Autocross
- Track and Penalties:
A cone course will be set up on the back portion of the main track, known as the “Thunder Loop”. Drivers will grid on the skidpad and start from a stand still in the designated starting area. The goal is to drive as fast as possible while trying to avoid knocking over cones and coming to a complete stop in the finish area before time is counted. Any cone(s) knocked over during a run will result in a 1.0s or 2.0s penalty (depending on track length) being added to the run time.
Drivers will be divided into flights. You will get 3 runs back to back to back in your flight group. Only the first 6 runs will be scored. Once every group has completed their 2nd flight, the course will remain open until the scheduled end time, but runs will be first come, first serve, and not count towards daily awards.
DRIVERS ARE NOT REQUIRED TO SHAG CONES!!!

Time Attack
Compete against yourself and compete against others in this non wheel-to-wheel competitive driving event. Set a fast time and get your name on the AMP Top Times Leaderboard for production and track cars.
- Track and Competition:
Time Attack will take place on two layouts. In the morning, the 1.18 mile short course utilizing the turn 10 cut through. After lunch, the full 1.81 mile track. Participants will get 1x 10min open lapping session on both layouts. Your fastest lap in each session counts towards the competition. Top times in each class win.
There is absolutely no passing without a point-by from the driver being overtaken. Drivers must give a point-by before the end of the 2nd passing zone they come to when impeding traffic. Part of the strategy in this event is how you navigate traffic and gap yourself for a fast lap.
- Eligibility and Pricing:
Anyone 18+ years of age with a valid (US) drivers license and prior HPDE track experience is eligible to participate. Cars must pass a basic safety check to make sure they have functional seat belts, are road worthy and have no unsecured items in or outside the car. - Best in Class: Fastest (up to 5) drivers in each subclass. Lowest time after penalties. Fastest time can be from any scored run during the day.
- Season Points: Each event score season points calculated; Points = 100 – 900 * [(your time – best time in class) / best time in class]; Best 7 out of 8 events count towards season total. Highest score after 8 events wins the class championship.
