About this event
BMW CCA Roadrunner Chapter 3rd Annual High Performance Driving School and Club Race
Join the BMW CCA Roadrunner Chapter on October 3 & 4, 2009 at the Phoenix International Raceway (PIR) in Avondale, AZ! The legendary PIR is Arizona's most exciting and challenging race track, making it a great place to learn the art of high performance driving from the dedicated team of experienced Roadrunner Chapter instructors. You'll go home with skills you can use on the roads every day as well as some great memories of laps at Arizona’s premier racetrack.
Club Racers can also use this registration to pay for the Club Race after completing registration at the BMW CCA Club Racing web site.
Event requirements
School requirements:
Your car must be registered, you must be a licensed driver, 18 years of age or older and you must be a BMW CCA member to be eligible for enrollment (non-member fee includes a BMW CCA year membership).
Snell SA2000 and M2000 or newer helmets are required.
Convertibles and T-top cars must have 5-point/6-point belts and arm restraints, as well as an approved roll bar installed. Factory "rollover protection" for a soft top (i.e. BMW Z3 and Z4, Porsche Boxster) is not sufficient for the school. Convertibles with hard tops, including folding hard tops, are NOT ALLOWED. Examples of cars NOT ALLOWED include: Firebirds and Camaros with T-tops or convertibles; any Corvette other than the Z06 coupe; Porsche convertibles and Targas. The Lotus Elise, while a targa-style car, IS ALLOWED due to its structural design provided that the hard roof panel is in place (the soft roof panel is not sufficient). It is essential that you email Rick Touton to discuss these issues well in advance if you plan to bring a convertible or T-top car. We will not give refunds if you sign up with an ineligible car.
Cancellation policy: Cancellations before 09/19/09 will receive a refund less a $20 fee. Cancellations after 09/19/09 will receive no refund.
Please make sure to include and update your experience and your emergency contact info in your account when you register online.
