About this event
Saturday April 5th, 2025. Charles Cope Memorial Introduction to Autocross + AX #1.
Keizer Volcanoes Stadium Parking Lot
Please join us for our Annual Charles Cope Memorial Introduction to Autocross + AX #1 (Formerly Novice School and Driver Skills Clinic).
Introduction to Autocross: If you have attended one of our prior Novice School events, this year will be different. It will be a combined "Novice School/Introduction to Autocross" and a Championship Points Autocross event.
The morning session will start with all of this year's students driving. Each student will have a dedicated instructor for their driving session. The instructor will greet their student when they arrive, walk them through the registration and vehicle tech inspection process, provide individualized course walks and answer any questions regarding WMC, autocross, and the event. The primary emphasis of the student/instructor session is to provide hands-on competitive driving experience in a safe, closed-course environment.
Students will learn all aspects of autocross, including how to read a course map, steps to upgrade your car's performance, chassis setup, and how to be a corner worker when others are driving.
