2023 - 49th Florida State Autocross Championship
Buckingham AirfieldAbout this event
This is the 49th running of the Florida State Autocross championship. It all started back in 1974 hosted by the Indian River Sports Car Club. It's an annual event, where the best of the best from Florida converge on the host's turf to see who's who in the sport of Autocross. In its current form, 5 autocross clubs from around the State of Florida alternate hosting duties. If it weren't for Covid, this would be the 50th annual event. Furthermore, Hurricane Ian in 2022 prevented GCAC from hosting, so Equipe Rapide was kind enough to swap years with us and host it last year.
For those that run with us recently know, the airstrip was also occupied by emergency vehicles since Hurricane Ian. We are proud to announce that the site is completely clear, allowing us access to one of the best sites in the country. We promise a great, fast track.
A hot lunch will be provided both days, special trophies for class winners, and commemorative trophies for all other positions. We are in the design process for a completly epic 8-color black t-shirt for this event.
