About this event
NEW THIS YEAR: All two-day autocross events with the Fresno SCCA will be combined into a single registration link, including the Performance Driving School and Event 1. All Saturday students and Sunday competitors will register at this single link. Once you continue to the registration page, you will then be able to select which day's event you are registering for.
Registration for the 2020 Fresno Autocross School has sold out! Registration for Autocross Event 1 is open until Thursday, January 23 at 10 pm.
WHAT IS AUTOCROSS?
Autocross, or "Solo," is a timed contest of driving skill. Speeds and hazards to spectators, participants, and property do not exceed those found in normal, legal highway driving. We think it is much more fun than street driving and you can't get a speeding ticket! Best of all, you can enter in your everyday street car!
This school will introduce you to Solo driving, teach you some valuable driving skills, and give you a chance to try them out in a controlled, safe environment. There will be in-car instruction from experienced drivers and coaches. Then take the knowledge you gained on Saturday, and put it to the test Sunday in competition! Event 1 entry is included when you register for the Driving School.
Participation in the school is not required to enter Event 1. Once you continue to the registration page, you will then be able to select which day's event you are registering for.
SAFETY:
All vehicles must pass a safety inspection prior to competing. Ensure the vehicle has proper seat belts, throttle return action, a secure battery, no oil or antifreeze leaks, adequate brakes, tires with good tread, and safe wheel bearings.
