About this event
Northern California’s Classic Sports Racing Group will hold its 1t8h Annual Charity Challenge at Sonoma Raceway on the weekend of October 1-3, 2020. The event will include all the usual CSRG race groups, with Vintage and Historic race cars dating from the 1930s to the 1990s, running in nine race groups, including our feature group who has yet to be announced..
In its first seventeen years, the CSRG Charity Challenge Series has raised one million dollars in contributions to the Sonoma Chapter of the Speedway Children’s Charities.
Fund-raising activities both racing-related and non-racing related are being planned. We are working to make this a fun weekend for the entire CSRG racing community. As of the posting for this event some COVID restrictions as still in place. Please see protocol at bottom.
The schedule kicks off with optional practice on Friday afternoon before moving to full days of practice and racing on both Saturday and Sunday, with each of the race groups on track twice each day.
There will be a Food Court with a wide variety of food and beverages in the area in front of the Racetrack Cafe in the Paddock.
For more information, please contact Geoff Pitts, Race Director, at race.director@csrgweb.org (530) 559.2554 . Check csrgracing.org for developing news on special events and features and, Monday before the event, the weekend schedule and entry roster by Run Group.
Fees: CSRG requires all drivers be either a Full Racing Member of CSRG, or a Single-event Member. Our friends from other racing organizations may choose the Single-event Membership for $75, but we encourage you to consider joining CSRG as a Full Racing Member ($150/yr) and enjoy the full benefits of membership throughout the year. Full Racing Members of CSRG who haven't renewed their membership for this year can renew at <csrg.motorsportsreg.com> before completing their race entry.

We continue to update our protocol for all races under the COVID-19 threat & will circulate a plan prior to the event. Here is a partial list of what you can expect:
- Changes in Registration to minimize or eliminate contact
- Face masks will be required wear for everyone on race track grounds.
- Limits on crew size
We all know that the ultimate responsibility falls on every person in the paddock. Simply put, if you are not careful, others may pay for it. If you feel you can not comply with the precautions laid out by both CSRG & the track, that's your choice, but we would then suggest you not enter the event.
Online registration will open December 15, 2020
We hope everything comes together & we can hold a safe, fun event.
Thank you,
CSRG Board
