About this event
We are excited to be opening the 2010 season with a two day event at Virginia Int'l Raceway's Full Course!
The focus for this event will be on continued education. That is, the continued drive for improvement on all levels. From the novice/intermediate driver up to, and including the seasoned track junkie, racer, and instructor. This event is comprised of a few parts, so please read the following information carefully... (Please note: schedules subject to change)

- On track sessions will include clinic-specific drills designed to bring out the best in each driver

Instructors ... Get ready for something you just do not find at other track events: rEvolution Instructor Continued Education (rICE)
- Chuck Hawks will be leading this clinic that will dig deep into what it really means to be track day instructor
- Classroom sessions will be supported with track sessions and goals for sessions with your student
- You will come away from this clinic with a deeper understanding of what it takes to be the best instructor you can be, but also (and maybe more importantly) what it takes to get the most, and the best, from your students
- Current Asphalt Ventures approved instructors will have one student assigned to them... if you are an instructor with another organization and would like to be considered for the AV Instructor roster, please submit this instructor application as soon as possible.
- This is NOT an instructor "approval" clinic... this is for established instructors only
Please follow the Continue link for requirements
Event requirements
If you are interested in signing up for the rEvolution Advanced Continuing Education clinic, you must meet one or more of the following requirements:
- Advanced or Instructor level DE driver(examples: A or B group with BMWCCA, Blue or Red group with TZC/THSCC, HPDE3 & 4 with NASA, etc.)
- Competition license in good standing (examples: SCCA, BMWCCA Club Racing, NASA Competition, etc.)
- Have solid recommendations (if you're an intermediate driver and are interested, please email us with your recent experience, the last two instructors you had, and/or the name of the organization you ran with.)
Attendees for the clinic and the lapping should already have a very firm grasp on all the basics of high performance driving. The clinic is designed to enhance what you already know and introduce new techniques to help you develop even further as a driver.
This is the PERFECT clinic for you if you are considering the following:
- Instructing
- Wheel-to-wheel racing
- Lapping days or Solo HPDE groups with open passing
If you are interested in attending the rEvolution Instructor Continuing Education clinic, you must...
- Already be an Asphalt Ventures Instructor
- Be an established instructor with other DE organizations. If you're not already an AV instructor, you must provide the group name and chief instructor or registrar's name for the organization. (There will be a place for that on the registration page)
Intermediate/Advanced "KADE"
The Krause & England DE group is open to any driver over 18 years old with most street legal vehicles. (Sorry, convertibles must have a structural, competition approved roll bar and drivers must be able to pass a broomstick test with helmet on.) Driver's must have at least three full days of HPDE prior to registration.
This group will get four 30-minute track sessions each day, including an in-car instructor and in-class instruction between track sessions. Your instructor will have the option to sign you off to solo (in your run group) on Sunday.
Advanced Open Lapping
This group is open to drivers with at least 10 HPDE weekends and/or at least 3 years combined track experience. Track time will be plentiful (four hours available EACH day.) Passing will be anywhere with a point. (If you do not already have open lapping or solo group experience, I HIGHLY recommend you participate in the RPDE Clinic before signing up for an open passing group.)
Drivers have the choice of signing up for one, or both days of lapping
