Interested in getting some on-track driving experience? Join us for our Performance Driving Experience (PDX) at the Iowa Speedway! PDX is one of the easiest and most accessible ways to get on-track experience and proper race instruction. Whether you're a complete novice looking to take your street car to the track or an experienced race car driver looking for some track time, PDX is for you. Bring whatever car you have and experience the Iowa Speedway 1.3-mile road course 30 miles east of Des Moines in Newton, Iowa.
Entry fees:
$175 for SCCA Members
$190 for Non SCCA Members (includes SCCA event membership)
$87.50 for Instructors that also register to drive (SCCA member)
$102.50 for instructors that also register to driver (includes SCCA event membership)
This event is held under the SCCA 2013 Time trials rules and guidelines

Iowa Speedway
Iowa Speedway is a state-of-the-art motorsports facility located 30 miles east of Des Moines in Newton, Iowa. The track includes a 7/8-mile asphalt paved tri-oval race track and 1.3-mile road course. Owned and operated by U.S. Motorsport Corporation and designed by former NASCAR Champion Rusty Wallace, Iowa Speedway was designed as the first track in the world to protect fans and drivers through the use of SAFER barrier technology surrounding the entire perimeter of the oval.

Directions: Just south of Exit # 168 off I-80 on Iowa Speedway Drive.
Track Details: 1.3 mile road/oval course with 9 turns; 6 corner stations; oval banking – 12o-14o progressive
Event requirements
General Information
1. All PDX entries are requested to pre-register by the close of online registration at 10:00pm August 13th 2013 to guarantee your spot.
2. On-Site Preferred payment methods are cash. Checks will be accepted but a $30 charge will be assessed for all insufficient funds checks.
3. Onsite registration is available until 1:45pm in the registration building outside the track, but only as space allows. Pre-registration is highly recommended.
4. The Schedule page outlines the session times and order for the overall event. On-track sessions will run consecutively. PA announcements will be made calling each group to the grid, but be aware of where your group falls in the order of sessions.
5. The PDX Classroom Session & Drivers Meeting is MANDATORY for all participants. Instructors will be available and assigned at the mandatory classroom session at the start of the day.
6. Drivers meeting will take place in the garage and classroom sessions will take place in either garage 1 or the tech building. The TT Chief Steward may be located via radio through another race official.
7. There will be a photographer at the event to take pictures and will be sent by mail after the event. See the event chair for details on pictures.
