About this event
NOTICE! This event is now closed to novices, aka students who have NO track experience (autocross is NOT track experience). Please do not register if you do not have prior track experience, as we will have to reject your registration and refund the fee to you less the amount that MotorsportReg charges us to process registration.
Please join us for a day of fast fun and learning at Harris Hill Road and help out a great cause all at the same time! All of the proceeds from this HPDE (high performance driver's education) event will be donated to Austin Boxer Rescue, a terrific organization dedicated to saving and rehoming unwanted, stray, abused, and abandoned Boxers in the Central Texas area.
The track features 1.8 miles of asphalt covering twists, turns, and elevation changes, and the event will be capped at 52 cars, so everyone will get plenty of uncrowded time to learn and play. This track is a private, members-only facility, so it's a special privilege to be invited to hold an event here.
This event will also be sponsored by Roger Beasley Porsche, who will be providing funding for the event and will have some of their newest and most exciting models on hand for participants and spectators to "paw" over.
We reserve the right to remove anyone who, in our judgment, at the event is acting in a reckless or uncooperative way, and entry fees will not be refunded.
Registration fees are $170 for all participants.
Cars are required to have passed a tech inspection 30 days or less before the event by a qualified ASE mechanic.

H2R is nestled in the hills of northeastern San Marcos, Texas. The course is very easily accessible, sitting approximately 2.5 miles east of IH-35, approximately 2 miles west of Texas Highway 21, and a little over 2.5 miles from the San Marcos airport.
We're right in your backyard. H2R is just 26 miles from downtown Austin and approximately 55 miles from downtown San Antonio.
H2R operations are housed in a 6,000 square foot clubhouse overlooking 150 acres of land with a very nice view of downtown San Marcos and Texas State University.
The track is a 1.8-mile asphalt road course, 36-feet wide. The pit lane consists of a 24-foot wide, 1/4-mile asphalt strip. The staging area includes the capacity for up to 60 cars -- including 30 covered parking spaces and 30 uncovered parking spaces.
Event requirements
NOTICE! This event is now closed to novices, aka students who have NO track experience (autocross is NOT track experience). This is a high performance driver's education event. This is a non timed, non competitive event designed to help drivers learn basic driving skills, track etiquette, and handling characteristics of their car. Instructors will be assigned to those who are first-timers or still learning track basics. Breakfast and lunch will be provided.
This event will also be a charity event to benefit Austin Boxer Rescue, a breed specific dog rescue group serving both Austin and San Antonio. Like most rescues and charities in general, they have taken in a record number of dogs in the last year while facing record lows in donations. ABR is desperately low on funds, so all of the proceeds from this event will be donated to the rescue in hopes that they'll be able to save more dogs. ABR volunteers will be on hand at the event, as will some of the irresistibly cute dogs we have up for adoption (adoptions will not be handled on site without a preapproved application though). You can preview all of the adoptable dogs ABR has currently and read about the adoption procedure at www.austinboxerrescue.com.
In addition, Roger Beasley Porsche will also be sponsoring this event and bringing several cars for everyone to "paw" over, so there will be even more goodies at the track for your enjoyment! To recognize both of these aspects of the event, we've entitled it "Boxers and Boxsters." Of course, any kind of car owner is welcome to register to attend or just come to watch, but it made for a catchy title!
This promises to be an unusual event and a fun day, and hopefully, since it's on the cusp of spring, it won't be stupid cold OR insanely hot. Registration will go online at www.motorsportsreg.com in a few days; I'll send an email to let you know when registration is open, so stay tuned!
Cars are required to have passed a tech inspection 30 days or less before the event. Convertibles MUST have H2R-approved factory roll protection or aftermarket rollbars installed in order to participate; please ask before registering if you have questions!
Please enter your previous driving experience! If you don't have enough space, just email me, Sondra, at lonestarsondra@gmail.com with your experience.
Thank you.
