1)      Overview:
The D2D500 is an endurance race for novice team drivers, no racing license required.
Join the elite who have raced before you at the famed Mazda Raceway Laguna Seca.
Make your mark on history with your team, support charities & have fun.
We will have 2, 3.5 hour races, with 35 cars on track per race and multiple classes.

2)     Vehicle Classes:
C1-The Craftsman, up to $5000. in total investment
C2-The Fighter, between $5000 to $10,000 in total investment
C3-The Commander,  between $10,000 to $20,000 in total investment
C4-The Terminator, $20,000 + in total investment
C5-Spec Miata
C6-Green Team,  Alternative Fuel, Diesel, Bio-Fuel, etc. (no gasoline)
C7-Hybrid Team, Powered by Electricity & Or a Fuel source
 

No vehicle under 1800 lbs or over 3500 lbs gvw total. Minimum roof height of 40” or must have flags. Safety: Full cage, harnesses, fire extinguisher, safety equipment, etc.
Must meet 92DB! No exceptions! You have been warned. All vehicles must be approved by D2D500.com management. No open wheeled vehicles.

3)     Rules:
Each class of vehicles will be made “even” by a handicap system.
All vehicles in each individual class will be evaluated by: Go fast equipment & projected lap times.
Our D2D500.com officials will apply our Equalization Formula to level the playing field.
The vehicle in each class with the most laps completed at the finish of the race, after their handicap is applied, will be the class winner. The vehicle with the most laps total, for both races, after their handicap is applied, will be the overall winner. Charity laps can be bought by each team to better their position.

4)     Fees:
$600. Per team, for 1 Race, includes 3 driver positions. Note: "On Hold until further notice, everyone is signing up for both races, which makes it easier logistically."
$1200 Per Team, for Both races, Includes 6 Drivers and 3 Team members
$75.00 per extra Driver
$50.00 per Team Member; mechanic, spotter, chef, masseuse...
TBD Tech inspection at one of our facilities ~100.00
$250 Tech Inspection the day of the race.
All current SCCA/NASA Log Booked cars can be self teched.
$250. per Garage Rental. 16x32 with access to the hot pits
$45.00 for Transponder rental. All teams are responsible for damage or loss of their transponder.
$20.00 per Guest, fees go up at the gate
No license fee.

5)     Teams:
Each team is encouraged to find a sponsor or promote their cause with vehicle graphics.

6)     Driver Skill:
Safety is our primary concern at our events. HPDE events will be available for practice.
All drivers must complete at least 2 HPDE events or one other race prior to attending the D2D500.
All drivers must be proficient on track, follow the rules and be safe.
Any safety or rule violations will result is severe penalties and possible driver or team removal.
Any vehicle capible of turning sub 1:45 laps at Laguna Seca, without traffic, and with an advanced driver, will be required to have High Intermediate rated or higher drivers.
