SASC Winter Driver Training Appreciation Day

Ghost Lake, Alberta

About this event

Winter Driver Training Instructor Appreciation Day!

Cost:  Free for Winter Instructors, $20 adults (max. 2 drivers per vehicle - separate entry fees)

Introduction:  What is an Ice Dice?

An ice dice is a timed solo (one car at a time) event on ice, using the same 18" tall traffic cones.  Cone spacing is much more generous due to traction limitations.  Classes are studded and non-studded for AWD, FWD and RWD - so 6 classes - very simple!

Who are the instructors/helpers?

Anyone who helped or instructed this year.  Use the pay-at-the-site option to register here and then we will not charge the instructors/helpers.

Where can I attend?

Locations:

  1. Ghost Lake:  Ghost Lake is located approximately 17 km west of Cochrane on Hwy 1A just west of the bridge on the south side of the highway.  The ice is accessed via a boat ramp from the parking lot.

When?

Time: 8:00 a.m. – 4:30 p.m. (approx.)

Lunch will be determined ... Maybe someone can make a pizza run?   :)

SASC is a Registered, Non-profit Society in Alberta.
