Featured Cars: Featured cars are any series of BMW that is 25-years-old (or older).

For those series that span the 25-year-mark (i.e. 1989), we are selecting the series that had a majority of their production run before 1989…   …so, to clarify, any E30 3 series (1982-1994), E24 6 Series (1976-1989) and E32 7 series (1986-1994) will be considered feature cars, but the Z1 (1989-1991), E34 5 series (1988-1996) and E31 8 Series (1989-1999) will not.

Event Participation:

You can participate a couple ways:

  1. Judged Class (Register by July 1 to secure your specific size of T-Shirt)
  2. Parking on the field / People’s Choice

Event T-shirt

Unlike years’ past, we are producing an event-specific T-shirt. Well-known artist, Robert Bevis (www.bevisart.com), produced the art linework for this years’ T-shirt, poster & program cover. You may know Robert’s work from the Kirkland Concours d’Elegance (now called the “Pacific Northwest Concours d’Elegance at America’s Car Museum”).

As stated below, the T-shirts come automatically with your entry fee (those that are having your car judged), otherwise, T-shirts will be available to purchase at the event (until supplies run out).

Parking on the field / People’s Choice

This year, you have two options to park on the field. The first option is to have your car registered to be judged, which guarantees your spot on the field. The second option is to simply show up and park your car on the field (FREE for club members, $10 for non-club members – which gets reimbursed if you sign up to be a CCA member the day-of-show). Club members MUST show their current membership card at the entry gate! The only “catch” is that once the field is full, you’re out of luck – so arrive early! Gates open at 9:30 am.

Those cars that are lucky enough to make it onto the field are eligible to win the People’s Choice Award.

Judged Class:

Cars are judged in three major areas: exterior, interior (including trunk) and engine bay. The underside of the car is not considered. A three-member team whose independent results are then totaled to determine a score for each judged entry. This process is designed to be as fair and objective as possible. For class competition there are bonus points for mileage, which evens out the competition for high versus low mileage cars. Taking the top BMW from each class, and lining them up for a final review by a 3-judge team determines the Best in Show Award. Previous scores are not considered as the judges choose the cleanest, most dazzling BMW on the lawn.

Cars will be judged only on cleanliness and condition, not on originality. To participate in the judged classes you must be a member of the BMW CCA, BMW ACA or Canadian BMW CCBC.

The cost of having your car judged is $40 (pre-registered), or $55 (day of show). Included in this fee is a “goodie bag” from Hagerty, filled with products from Griot’s Garage, an event T-shirt (please specify your size when registering), event Poster, ten raffle tickets, and much much more!

Part of the refinements to this years’ event was a new set of judged classes. The breakdown of classes, and available awards within each class, are as follows: car class groups shown here.

Bancheros Glass & Etching has (once again) stepped up, and are providing our show with their beautifully etched glass trophies.

Raffle Prizes - Raffle tickets will be on sale at the event for $1.00 each, or 25 tickets for $20.

DirtFish Rally School is offering up their Half Day Introduction to Rally Experience, a package valued at over $725. A description of this package is as follows:

Get ready for an unforgettable introduction to the world of rally driving! You’ll spend this half day learning from behind the wheel of a 300 HP, all-wheel-drive Subaru rally car in the gravel, in the dirt and in the mud.

• Introduction: We’ll introduce you to the sport of rallying where you’ll learn what it takes to rotate a car in the dirt – the driving technique of champions.

• Driver’s Meeting: We start the program by explaining the foundations of great driving technique: proper vision, left-foot braking, weight transfer and car control. After the driver’s meeting we’ll get you geared up and ready for your time behind the wheel.

• Drive Session: Learning is best done behind the wheel of a 300-HP, all-wheel-drive Subaru STi rally car. In this case, you’ll drive one on the Skid Pad, Slalom and Boneyard rally stage – gravel, dirt and mud.
